Hip hop music, better known as rap music, was created in the U.S. by inner-city African Americans and Latino Americans from the Bronx city of New York City during the early 1970s. At the time the term "rap" wasn't even used. It was a popular genre due to its use as a fashion, rhyming pattern and beat. It has seen a variety of styles and phases from underground to mainstream. But today it still retains an avid fan base. What is it that makes this music so popular?
The Jamaican Bluegrass and Afro-Cuban Reggae musics that were popular at the time gave rise to the music's roots artistrack review. The artists who introduced it to America were primarily inspired by the reggae sound. Artists like DJ Kool Herc, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Mos Def and many others have made it extremely well-known. In fact, it's now one of the most popular styles of rap music that is currently in use. One of the main factors that made it a hit was the use of a word called "chemistry" in its lyrics. This was a very clever concept, since the basic concept behind rap music was that it was about the chemistry of music. Eminem and Nicky Minaj are two examples of famous rappers ArtistRack. Their lyrics are all about chemical chemistry. The first rap track recorded by this group was what is now referred to as the Sugar Hill Gang's cult single "T.I. T.Y. E.W." They became famous immediately for their song and then formed Sugar Hill Gang, which is still the foundation of many rap groups in the present. After their split after their split, the Fatback Band was formed by the guys. They became so popular that they formed another rap group, the Fatback Band. Their debut album was universally well-received, and they continue to tour until today. Many consider them to be the greatest rappers of all time. Their third album, The Real Deal, they expanded to a crew of rappers, and they hit the big time with their single titled "Ether". It quickly reached number one on the charts, and is one of the best singles of all time. A little-known fact about Fatback Band is that their drummer was guided by King Tim III, the great artist and producer. King Tim III was impressed by the talent of the group and he encouraged the group to develop into a more musical band. The Fatback Band was one of the most popular musical groups in the 1990s, and continues to be extremely popular today.
